Afternoon everyone we hope you have been keeping safe and well?
You may have noticed we've been rather quiet during lockdown. At Old Mill we have a small dedicated team of staff, the majority of which fell into the high risk category and were quickly shielding or furloughed.
However those who have been able to work have been doing so very hard behind the scenes to maintain the quality and standards you know and expect from us.
As we look at re-opening the safety of our staff, customers and visitors is top priority, we will then be following government guidelines, new procedures will be in place and strictly adhered to.
We can't wait to warmly welcome you all back and we'll announce our openings and operating procedures as soon as have the go ahead from the powers that be. In the meantime we will be looking to hire a brand new Head Brewer/Brewery Manager. If you or someone you know could be the perfect candidate please see the details below:

Head Brewer Role
Old Mill Brewery is housed in an 18th Century former corn mill and situated in the market town of Snaith in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Established in 1983 it has a tied estate of 17 pubs. The opportunity has arisen for an experienced brewer to oversee the production, packaging, sales and distribution of the brewery’s cask and bottled ales and who will also contribute to the continued development of the Brewery.
The brewing plant is well designed and is capable of 10 to 40 barrel brew lengths.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all day to day activities
Manage all brewery operations
Work flexible hours which may include the occasional evening or weekend.
Good team leader
Co-ordinate with the Tied Estate Manager and pubs
Maintain quality and health & safety standards
Requirements:
Technical brewing qualifications or extensive brewery experience.
Commercial awareness of sales and suppliers.
Driving licence
Good computer skills
